Christmas Dinner & Parade

Christmas DinnerTickets are going fast for our annual Distinguished Kama`aina Awards & Benefit Scholarship Dinner, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11th, 5 to 8:30 p.m., at Windward Community College’s Hale Akoakoa Building.  We will be honoring three distinguished Kama`aina:  Rev. Bob Nakata, Aaron Mahi and the late Edgar B. Jones.  We will also be recognizing two civic club members – Shandry Lopes and Leilani Jones-Tollefsen – for their outstanding service and dedication during 2010.  We are asking all members to purchase or sell at least five tickets between now and Dec. 7th.  Call Leilani at 348-5957 for tickets or information.

Christmas Parade:  The Ko`olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club will be entering a float and marching unit in the upcoming Kane`ohe Christmas parade on Saturday, Dec. 4th, starting at 9 a.m.  Helpers are needed to build and decorate the float, or to provide greens for the decorations.  Please call Rocky Kaluhiwa at 286-7955 if you can  kokua.
